In 2013, I had the opportunity to work on a meaningful sustainable fashion project focused on developing Khadi wool fabrics for 11.11 in Gujarat. At a Khadi Gram Udyog in Raanpur near Ahmedabad, women skilfully operated knitting machines to create both circular and linear hand-machine-knit fabrics. The collaborative and joyful atmosphere led to friendships and valuable input from the ladies, who also enjoyed modelling the knit developments.
